The Czechs will convert Kherson sunlight into electricity

Chairman of the Kherson Regional State Administration Mykola Kostyak had a working meeting with the President of the company ‘ROLSTON Invest a.s.’ Simon Lekehel Younes (Czech Republic). During the meeting they discussed issues of implementing investment projects on construction of solar power station in Kherson region.

It is reported that in the near future a working group that will accompany this project and solve all problems, including those related to obtaining the necessary permits for construction will be established. In turn, representatives of the company ‘ROLSTON Invest a.s.’ conduct a series of meetings in Kherson region to see first-hand the facilities of the region and the favourable investment climate. After CMU ranking, Kherson region in 2011 took the 3rd place in terms of attracted to the region investments.

For many years the Czech Republic is a trading partner of Kherson region. For example, in 2011 in the Czech Republic goods to the 6.3 million dollars have been exported, accounting for 1.8% of total exports of the region.

As of January 1, 2012 the total investment of the Czech Republic to the economy of the region is 401.9 thousand dollars and 0.2% of the total investment in the region. In the total amount of investment a major stake is about 98% investment in transport and communication activities.

The growth of foreign direct investment amounted to 155.3 thousand dollars in 2011, or 163% of the volume at the beginning of the year.
